Well since u only said its a triangle i will think its a right triangle: (otherwise i got no idea)

Since you only have one side given a and b will always variety.

To get a fixed size we can use the pythagoras:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a^2 + b^2 = 14^2.     I -a^2

b^2 = 196 - a^2

and

a^2 = 196 - b^2

Example:

U want the size for b when a is 4:

b^2 = 196 - 4^2

b = 13.42

! is like sigma just for multiplication.

example:

3! = 3*2*1

\(x^{1/3} + (x-16)^{1/3} = (x-8)^{1/3}\)

Now take every side ^3

x + x - 16 = x - 8.  I+16. I -x

x = 8

They are not.

4*(x+2) is equal to 4*x + 4*2.

So 4x+8 is not equal to 4x+2 

U can use the logarith for this question.

Lets say the ? is x.

the logarithm of 2  gives 16^8 as a result with the exponent x.

log2(16^8)=x

Use logarithm rules:

The log of 2(16) is 4, since 2^4 is 16.

8* 4 = x

Lets look at the first one:

It says the distance is equal to 3 times s. This means that the distance would expend proportional which is correct since the speed is constant. 

2nd one:

This says that the distance is equal to 3 divided by the speed. This makes no sense, since the distance gets bigger and not lower.

3rd one:

the speed is equal to the distance times 3. This function is also a proportional function, but the speed is supposed to be constant so this doesnt fit the question.

4rd one:

speed is equal to 3 times the speed. Well u got a function with s(d) while in the function itself theres no d given. The function itself is repetitive.
