We don't know what any of the actual "numbers" are, zegroes....this just gives a general procedure to get the hypoteneuse by itself on one side of the identity.
It's like asking you how the find the area of a square...we don't know the actual numbers, but we can give the answer that ..... A = s^2
Does that make sense??
It's just nonsense, rosala......they're just having a bit of fun......any answer will do....
I assume you just want to "solve" for the hypoteneuse
So...
sin(x) = opp / hyp ... multiply both sides by hyp....this gives
hyp * sin(x) = opp ... now, divide both sides by sin(x)....we have
hyp = opp / sin(x)
Well...I don't get "everything" 100% correct.....(far from it), but if the numbers are 1 - 8, notice that 3 of them are less than 4, namely, 1, 2 and 3. And 8 different outcomes are possible. But since we're interested in only 3 of them, the probability that we spin a number less than 4 is just : 3/8
The numbers are 2 6 17 21 23 85 and the Magic Number is 815.
[23(2+6) - 21](85/17) =
[23(8) - 21] (5) =
[184 - 21](5) =
[163](5) =
815
More like "information overload," Dragon.......
Whoa!!!.....did you get that, Dragon??? Or shall we repeat the answer five more times??? (LOL!!)
Forum members "fighting" over questions to answer.....where were you guys about two weeks ago, when we were REALLY "swamped" with questions......????
We don't have anything to "solve" here, Dragon....just to "expand"....
I take it that you meant: (25x)(x+5)
Taking it term by term ,we have (25x)*(x) = 25x^2
And (25x)*(5) = 125x
So putting this all together gives us
25x^2 + 125x ....!!!
No, Strider, I was in the middle of working your problem when I noticed that heureka had provided an answer....and as I couldn't top "perfection," there was no need to try to duplicate it, either!!.....
Melody, I like your approach of treating the b***s like repeated letters in a word...that makes sense to me......but, we know what happened the last time we agreed on an answer (don't we??).....LOL!!!
