Note Jedithious, that 150 degrees is just a 30 degree reference angle in the second quadrant. And the sine of 30 degrees is just 1/2. And since the sine is positive in the second quadrant, then the sin of 150 degrees is just 1/2.

Does that make sense??

I was assumig that all the letters and numbers were different......this is possibly not correct (but it could be)

If we can have "repeats" then I believe my answer should be:

(26^4 * 6^3 * 7!) / (4!*3!)  = 3,454,738,560 combinations

Which kinda' looks just like Melody"s   !!!!

To find the percentage discount use:

[Old Price - New Price] / Old Price x 100%    ..... so we have.....

[35 - 21]/ 35  x 100%  =

14/35 x 100%  = .40 x 100%  = 40% discount

e^x = 25/6     take the ln of both sides

ln e^x = ln(25/6)       note.......we can write..... ln e^x as  x lne   and lne = 1   so  x*1  = x
