I don't know what went on "behind the scenes." I'm not claiming that Melody made me a mod, she just asked me if I wanted to be one. I guess only the admin has that power!!!

Melody asked me if I would help out, and one thing led to another.....and here I am today!!!

Well.......despite the general belief, we mods aren't all-knowing. I "volunteered" to be a mod when Melody needed a lot of help in the Spring. We're not quite as busy right now.

Well....I know a few things.....but, hardly much at all, in the grand scheme of things!!!

In gereral, if degrees isn't indicated, radians is inplied. For instance, sin(45) implies 45 radians and sin(45°), of course, is degrees.

This is violated by many people  - including, yours truly -  from time to time. If a problem specifies degrees, I often omit the degree symbol, but it's not tecnically correct !!!

I'm assuming you might have this:

(x^3)^4 * (x^2)^5      ....   if so, we have

x^12 * x^10  =

x^22

5 ³√625 +³√135 =

5 ³√(125*5)+³√135 =

(5*5) ³√5 +³√135 =

(25)³√5 +³√135

Sp we have

³√180 + 4√125 - 6√45 =

³√180 + 4√(25*5) - 6√(9*5) =

³√180 + 4*5√5 - 6*3√5=

³√180 + 20√5 - 18√5  =

³√180 + 2√5

E = (1/2)(6)(-15) = (1/2) (-90)  = -45

So here, t must be 5 and we have:

N=0.05(5)^2-0.42(5)+12.33 =  11.48M = 11, 480,000
