Let DE be perpendicular to AB and let CF be perpendicular to AB
Let AE = x Let BF = (96 - (44 + x)) = (52 - x)
Since DC is parallel to AB then angle A = 70
So
tan 70 = DE / x
DE = x tan 70 = h (1)
And
tan 55 = CF / (52 -x)
(52 -x) tan 55 = CF = h (2)
Equate (1), (2)
x tan 70 = (52 -x) tan 55
x tan 70 = 52 tan 55 - x tan 55
x ( tan 70 + tan 55) = 52 tan 55
x = 52tan 55 / (tan 70 + tan 55) ≈ 17.79
So
h = 17.79 / tan70 ≈ 6.47
So you know the two bases and the height (h)....can you take it from there ???
