The train could symbolize a citizen becoming a soldier that is on route to the office which could mean military recruitment office. He started the poem with a soldiers thoughts and ended it with a citizens journey to becoming a soldier.

 I will do a problem for ou so you can figure it out!

As we can see we have f(x)=1/2 square root x-3

first thing that we need to do is find the zeros, which ill give you a hint, we have only 1 and it is displayed in the question.

that answer is the x-3 but the zero isnt -3 because we have to flip the sign which gives you 3 as your zero

now for the y intercept it isnt as simple

In fact I couldnt really find a Y intercept myself so I would have to say that there is either no Y intercept or that the intercept is 0.5
