Your answer does not make sense because grog's dads age has to be in betweeen 45 and 50 because:
if Grog is 5 years old seven years ago: his dad would be 40 years old
and three years ago, grogg is 9 years old, so his dad would be 45 years old
if Grog is 6 years old seven years ago: his dad would be 48 years old
and three years ago, grogg is 10 years old, so his dad would be 50 years old
since the difference in grogs and his dad's age has to be the same
grog's dad age is between 45 and 50 years
