There's no question! Can you add them?

This is a AoPS Middle School Contest Math homework question! Instead of asking here, you can ask on the message board of your class for some help!

Hmm.. Maybe they just rounded it? Or you typed in the question wrong?

According to Wolframalpha, it's 28 1/3, and when I solved it I got the same thing.

This is false. 

\(\frac{198}{27}+\frac{6(2+8(1-2)+(11-3)+5)}{2}\)

\(\)\(=\frac{198}{27}+\frac{6\cdot(2+8\cdot-1+8+5)}{2}\)

\(=\frac{198}{27}+\frac{6\cdot7}{2}\)

\(=\frac{22}{3}+\frac{6\cdot7}{2}\)

\(=\frac{22}{3}+\frac{42}{2}\)

\(=\frac{85}{3}\)

\(=28 \frac{1}{3}\)

When trying to find combinations, we multiply the numbers of things we can add to it. There are 6 different types of bread, 4 different types of meat, and 7 different types of condiments plus the no condiment. Since for the meat and condiment, there's another possible outcome than having just 1 type of meat and no condiment, we multiply by two twice.

This means we have 6*4*2*7*2=672 different sandwiches.

We can break this figure up into 3 rectangles. The 3x6 one, the 6x9 one, and the 15x12 one. Then, to find the area of the figure all we need to do is multiply and add them up. 3*6=18, 6*9=54, and 15*12=180. Then, we do 18+54+180= 252 sqaure inches, so your answer would be the first option.
