A median of an equilateral triangle is (2√3)/3 inches long.  What is the length of each side of the triangle?

We can us the tangent to find  the length of a side. So we have

tan(60) = (2/√3) / (s/2)   where s   = side length

√3 = 4/ (√3s)

3s = 4

s = 4/3
