thinking im using the calculator wrong. heres my work. 


c²=48² + 40² -2(48)(40) cos113º
c²=2304 + 1600 -2(48)(40) cos113º
c²=3904-3840 cos113º
√3904-3840cos113º <--inputing this into the calculator which it tells me it = to c² = -0.99756405026

i dont think thats right though.

Well...let's see  ......  taking it from here

2304 + 1600 -2(48)(40) cos113  =

3904 - 3840cos(113) = 5404.40753339776

And taking the square root of this we get......

about ...  73.51
