Dalja is at a carnival on a circular Ferris wheel that has a diameter of 60 feet. the center ferris wheel is 35 feet off the ground. Alisa is another ride that is 80 feet away from the ferris wheel Dalja looks up at a 14 degree angle of elevation to see alisa on that other ride. at that moment, how high is Alisa off the ground (nearest tenth of a foot)?

I'd say that this is impossible to answer...we have

tan(14) = opp/80

80tan(14) ≈ 19.95 ft

All we can say is that Alisa is about 20 ft higher than Dalja. But, since we don't know Dalja's height, we can't definitively say how high Alisa is off the ground.
