it depends what the percent is out of. if it is out of 100 its 5.7%. if its out of 10 its 57%.

1/2 as a percentage is 1/2 *100% = 50%

1 as a percantage is 1*100% = 100%

and

5.7 as a percantage is 5.7 * 100% = 570%
