What is 15+6/3? Use the order of operations.

Add first 15+6=21 then divide 21 by 3  21/3=7

Remember, zegroes....we have to perform any multiplications/divisions we encounter from left to right before any additions/subtractions.....

So, for 15 + 6/3.....we have to first divide 6 by 3  = 2

Then, 15 + 2 = 17

I see why it's confusing, though......and your answer actually IS correct if the questioner meant (15 + 6)/3

I'll call it a draw and give us BOTH a FG (3 pts.) !!!

Right? Parenthises equations multiply divide addition then subtraction...P.E.M.D.A.S right my bad.....

Chris might call them equally correct but I don't and I don't want the asker to think that your (original) answer is correct because it is not!

PEDMAS or BODMAS

Parenthesis (Brackets) first

Exponents (Power Of) next

Division and Multiply are equally important - Do them from left to right

Addition and Subtraction are equally important - Do them from left to right.
