2x - 6y = 12

Insert 0 for y

2x - 6(0) = 12

Simplify

2x = 12

Divide by 2 on both sides

x = 6

x - int = 6

Use original equation and insert 0 for x this time

2(0) - 6y = 12

Simplify

- 6y = 12

Divide by -6 on both sides

y = -2

y - int = -2

I wasn't sure if you were trying to find the x and y intercepts, but that's the only thing I could think of with that equation!

Sorry if that wasn't what you were trying to find

I assume you want to graph this???  [ it's the equation of a line ]

Let x = 0, then y = -2

Now, let y = 0 and x = 6

So.....we have the points (0, -2)  and (6, 0)

Plot these points on a graph.......draw a line through them.....voila!!!......there's your line !!!!

cool cool cool
