I like to think of the Associative Property this way:
Sometimes, the first two "friends" associate together, so we have
(a + b) + c
And other times, the last two "friends" associate together, so we have
a + ( b + c) !!!!

Mutiply the base times the height and divide that answer by 2.
Remember that your answer will be _________ cm2
