the digits for pi go one forever  (It is an irrational number)

So you can either leave it as the symbol pi

or you have to round it off.

so\\
f(x-3)=(x-3)^2=x^2-6x+9$$

I don't remember doing these before but

The only ways that you can get x  are

x*1*1*1      =1x

1*x*1*1      =1x     

1*1*x*1      =1x

1*1*1*x      =1x

Total = 4x

So I think that the coefficient is of x is 4

The meaning for part b is very unclear.

It might just mean that if the diamerter if the smallest one is 1.19cm and the same pattern continues as before the how many circles can be cut from the new length of cable (2.8m).

I have always loved teaching mathematics.

I have never enjoyed dealing with a bad class.  Unfortunately 2 or 3 really unruly students can totally destroy a class.  

BUT

There is nowhere that I would rather be than in a classroom teaching mathematics to reasonably/well behaved students.  

I love mathematics and I love to share my passion with other people that is why I spend so much time on this forum.
