Very interesting question. No high level maths required.
This question was posted a couple of days ago.

I think it is really interesting. It looks much more difficult than it really needs to be.

Some guidelines for question askers.

101.55>|1.55x|
abs(1.55x) < 101.55
Now I find it easiest to think of these by drawing a number line and shading in where 1.55x must be.
Since I can't show you the diagram I will try to explain.
What it is really saying is that the distance from 1.55x is less than 101.55 from 0. (pos or neg direction)
so
1.55x must be between -101.55 and +101.55
so
-101.55 < 1.55x < 101.55
divide everything by 1.55
-65.516 < x < 65.516 this is correct to 3 decimal places.

There is not that many choices and you have a calculator (there is one on this site) so why don't you use trial and error until you work it out?

Is .99999 repeater 1 or .9999 repeater?
It is 0.9repeater.
It is not 1, it is less than 1 but this is something that I have pondered over
You can show by division that 1/3 = 0.3 repeater
double both sides and you get 2/3 = 0.6 repeater
triple both sides and you get 3/3 = 0.9repeater
3/3 = 1 0.9 repeater is less than 1
Like I said, i have pondered this question myself.
I have placed this question along with my reponse in another forum which is filled with serious mathematicians.
I will see if any of them respond.

whats 1.08 times 10 to the negative third power
Firstly, this is not a scientific notation question.
10 to the negative third power = 1/10 to the positive third power (which is the same as 1/cube root of 10 )
1.08 * 1/cube root of 10 = 1.08 / 10^(1/3) = approx 0.50129

Yes,
Matrices can be very useful.
I don't usually solve little equations that way.
But they are extremely useful when you have several equations with several unknowns.
