Anon's answer is correct for the question actually asked

$$(-8 - 4 / -6 - -2)\\
=-8 - 4 / -6 +2\\
=-8 - (4 / -6)+2\\
=-8 - (2 / -3)+2\\
=-8 - (2 / -3) +2\\
$At this point I would do it slightly differently$\\
=-8+2 - (2 / -3) \\
=-6 + (2 / 3) \\
=-5\frac{1}{3}$$

The bit under the square root must be greater or eqal to zero.

the easiest way to do questions like this is to let

$$y=-10x^2-11x+6$$

now you have

$$f(x)=\sqrt{y}$$

$$y\ge0\\$$

so you have to solve

0=3a-4

I just realised that I could have done this more easily

f(2012+0)=2012+f(0)

f(2012)=2012+2

f(2012)=2014
