=3*5\sqrt3-\sqrt{30}\\
=15\sqrt3-\sqrt{30}\\$$

not quite

compounded daily it will grow to

1000(1+0.05/365)^(365*8)

compounded 6 monthly it will grow to 

1000(1+0.05/2)^(2*8)

you can do the rest   

The asyptote is the limit (or at least if gives the limit)

asin(0.33)  and press equals

inverse sin is the same as arc sin  

Oh make sure you are in degrees (or radians ) mode
