You can mult those two numbers numbers together but mult  pounds and cents really makes no sense.

It is called [2nd]

and it is in the top left hand corner of the calc where you would expect it to be :)

Here are 2 examples of a quadratics with no real roots.

See how the parabolas lies entirely above or entirely below the x axis.
