Here's where we might be able to use some reasoning instead of working out a full problem. Let's suppuse that he could plant 10 acres in an hour. Then it would take him 120 hours. But he can plant more than that in an hour, so it must take him less than 120 hours to do the job........which answer would that be??

And, as Melody has said........that's a REALLY big number containing 56144 digits !!

What is 16 divided by 4 plus 2 times 3 plus 2 minus 8 divided by 2?

We always perform any multiplications/divisions as we encounter them from left to right before we perform any additions/subtractions.

So we have

16/4 + 2*3 + 2 - 8/2  =

4 + 6 + 2 - 4 =

6 + 2  =

8  

(3y^2-5x^2+4)-(2x-8+4y^2)

Distributing the negative across the terms in the second set of parethesis, we have:

3y^2 - 5x^2 + 4 -  2x + 8 - 4y^2   Combine like terms

3y^2 - 4y^2 - 5x^2 - 2x + 4 + 8  =

- y^2 - 5x^2 - 2x + 12

Given the area ABC=7.52m². Find a, when m∠B=40° and c=6m.

We have that

A = (1/2)(a)(c)sinB

7.52 = (1/2)(a)(6)sin40

7.52 = 3(a)sin40

a = 7.52/(3sin40) ≈ 3.9m
