<ABC = <ADC = 60    and

<BAD = < DCB = 75

Remember that the opposite angles are equal (congruent)  !!!

First, subtract the x values..so we have...(-1-(-6)) = (5)

Next...subtract the y values  (-1-(-7)) = (6)

Square both of these and add the results together.......so we have

(5)^2 + (6)^2   =  25 + 36 = 61

Take the sqaure root of this = √(61)

And there is the distance between the two points !!!

I think the question may be...How many different sample groups can we draw??

The answer is given by:  C(79,5) = 22,537,515

Note that order isn't important.........we're only concerned about different sets, not order within the sets.....

The angles as listed don't make sense....."B" would be located in two places!!!...Let's do this, rosala...let's list the "vertices' starting at the top left and going "clockwise" as.... ABCD.

So <DAB = 75   ....and the angle opposite this (BCD) is equal to it

Now <CDA = 60  .........and the angle opposite this (ABC) is equal to it

Remember that in a paralleogram, opposite angles are equal.....!!!

(I wish we had a diagram....it would make this question easier........Also, remember that in describing angles, that <ABC is just the same as <CBA..!!!)

Think of it this way, rosala......"perimeter" is how far you travel if you walk "around" something.......

So the "perimeter" of a rectangle is just the sum of its sides.....namely W + W + L + L = 2W + 2L  = 2(W + L)

Think of "area" as a rug covering something.....in this case, a rectangle!!! And the area is just L X W...........

We need to use the cosine inverse to find the angle...

acos(.08696) = 85.011257976987°......Note that the cosine is positive in the 4th quadrant as well, so the angle might also be 360° - 85.011257976987° = 274.988742023013° 

I suspect that Alan's interpretation might be correct, ND, but I read the problem just as you did. Therefore, I'm giving points to both answers.....it wasn't particularly clear what was meant, IMHO...
