That's a good question, Rose98......maybe I'm taking too much for granted...let's start over

Since 175 ends in a 5, I know it's divisible by 5....so 175 = 35*5

But 35 ends in a 5, so it's also divisible by 5, so we have

7*5*5   =  7*25 = 25*7

Does that help???

Let's look at √(175) again....I believe the decimal answer is OK, but let's look at the exact answer again.

√(175) = √(25*7) = √(25)* √(7) = 5√(7)

And that's it........

I don't see any diagram....but the inequality would be......

(3x)*(x) ≤ 50

3x² ≤ 50

√(72) = √(36*2) = √(36) * √(2) = 6√(2) ≈ 8.49

Remember that we perform any multiplications/divisions first as we encounter them from left to right......

So, the first rhing we encounter is a division.......7/7 = 1

So we have

7 + 1 + 7*7 - 7

Next, we encounter a multiplication......7*7  = 49

So we have

7 + 1 + 49 - 7     

Now, we just add and subtract....this gives

8 + 49 - 7   =

57 - 7 =

50

We have this zegroes:

√(x - 1) = 3

Let's square both sides........this gives........

x - 1 = 9

Add 1 to both sides

x = 10

And that's it.......

We can use the tangent to find this......we have the opposite side and we're looking for the adjacent side.....so we have

tan(58°) = 25 / adj   

.....so......multiplying both sides by "adj" and dividing both sides by tan(58°), we have

adj = 25 / tan(58°) = 15.62 ft.

(2x+2/Y)=4w+2

Factor a "2" out of the left side

2(x + 1/y) = 4w + 2

Divide everything by 2

x + 1/y = (2w + 1)

Subtract 1/y from each side

x = (2w + 1) - 1/y

We can get a common denominator on the right

x = ([y(2w + 1)] / y) - (1/y) 

x = [2wy + y - 1] / y

And that's it.......
