You don't really need to worry about the amplitude and wavelength (period)..the "1" out in front of 1 + sinx tells us that it's a sine graph shifted up 1 unit and none of the graph will lie below the x axis.......all the other graphs (answers) will have pieces that lie below the x axis...

Notice that (p - q)² = p² - 2pq + q²

But notice that (q - p)² is exactly the same result....(prove this for yourself)

So all we really need to do is to just double the first result, and we get

2p² - 4pq + 2q²

Look at it this way  ...there are 11 parts to the job

The first worker performs 6/11 of the job

The second worker performs 2/11 of the job

And the last worker performs 3/11 of the job

Then the second most productive worker sorts 66(3/11) = 18 boxes

Just type .00365747 into the calculator and hit the "1/x" key........this will give you your answer...

We can use the idea of "borrowing" here....just like we do when we subtract !!!!  Instead of "borrowing" 10s, we'll be "borrowing" minutes !!!!

Remembering that there are 60 minutes in each degree.....we can write 29 degrees as:

(28 degrees + 1 degree)   = (28 degrees 60 minutes)...therefore, we have:

    28 degrees 60 minutes

-  26 degrees  50 minutes

------------------------------

=   2 degrees  10 minutes
